Can I show in a saddle with a rounded skirt?
Reining, specifically. I know most rounded skirts are meant for arabians and gaited horses, but i'm considering getting one for my TB. A lot of western saddles rub at his hips already, so i'm worried about it interfering with his movement in reining. Would it be frowned upon, since you don't really see them? or would it be okay? thank you 
if it's frowned upon i'll look into another brand. i wouldn't do anything that would hurt my horse...

It would be okay for entry level showing. There's no real reason for square skirt in the first place. It's just style and western tradition.
I think there are some that wouldn't look too out of place. Don't go for an Arabian saddle though, or an really round skirted barrel saddle.

Just make sure the saddle looks proportionate to a show pad, and it won't be noticed too heavily.
Edit- I think that'll look fine then. When you shop for your show pad, you'll just have to find the shortest length available.
